So how does a rural 17 year old gal working as a clerk at the local supermarket in West Virginia end up a year later exposing herself and pulling her panties over a stranger's head as he's tortured by a small town boy in a far away country that had nothing to do with 911, in fact a country that had never threatened the U.S.?

But the questions remain and multiply, the longer we go without thorough investigations.
Perhaps like the main character in An American Dream, Bush and his ilk found liberation in the needless suffering of others but at what cost?
How many died in Iraq, how many lives were ruined?
Over 100 detainees that we know about died while in U.S. custody, many died while being tortured.
And what moral person could not feel compelled to find out everything that happened and why?

Bush and his cronies, people without conscience shielding themselves from the reality of their personality disorders, shielding themselves from what they've done, what laws they've broken, from whom they have harmed.

If there was a conscience any where among them, one of them would have intervened in the Abu Ghraib trials and disciplining to say, wait, it was administration policy from the top down, we should have been charged, not these lowly soldiers, don't blame or punish them for our policies.

That type of conscience does not exist with the Bush cabal.

Tortured Excuses

Condi's got the Biden gaffe bug. In one fell swoop with a single sentence she implicates Bush officially as the torture deciding ring leader and implicates herself as part of a plan to authorize illegal torture.

This video would be devastating evidence in an investigation or trial, assuming justice is for more than just Presidential sexual peccadilloes.

Sorry, wrong excuse. It's just that there's too much going on now to tear the nation apart with the horror of a corrupt Republican administration, except that during the Nixon trials there was also a war going on and economic crisis and of course, the networks would love the ratings boost.


The U.S. signed a treaty (under Reagan ) that requires them to investigate and prosecute torture.
Wouldn't you love to see these liars thoroughly exposed under oath? No one would be sentenced sadly, but the national conscience would finally be cleared and legal obligations to treaties would be met.

Since no one is going to apologize to the Nazis, Japanese,Khmer Rouge etc., this just points out the absurdity of this position to look the other way when we do it and to hell with justice when it's not convenient.
