War is Peace

Leading the world in arms sales..., 30 billion for Israel, 20 billion for the Saudis, 13 billion for Egypt...what about al Qaeda, shouldn't Bush supply them too to keep the cycle going for the military industrial complex.

Seriously, if the Saudis were mostly responsible for 911 and are the largest supplier of foreign fighters killing Americans in Iraq...why not supply an old Bush family friend Osama? It's just good business.

How it works

Gonzales helps Bush hide a drunk driving conviction...

Bush helps Gonzales from a perjury charge.

That's how it works in the mob. Loyalty only.

Spoilers

It would have been hilarious if Osama had tried to spoil the Potter ending this week but he just showed up to remind everyone as usual that the Bush strategery is making us all less safe and for the long haul.
It seems to hinge on the judge you get in the states. If you get one who always sides with the right wing misadministration, then you're screwed pending appeal. Bush made it clear this week that he is the dictator in chief and no one can investigate, charge or challenge him.

More Treason From The Boy King Of Tragedy

Was there a Bush in the days of Greek discovery inspiring Sophocles? The comical becomes the tragic. No, he hasn't married his mom yet but there's still 18 more months to go.

He has lied his nation into a disastrous war for personal gain.

Now he is lying to keep his nation there.

He says he's listening to his generals. But he's clearly not.

The Pentagon has been running extensive scenarios to determine what would happen if the U.S. pulled out of Iraq.

What Bush claims, is that there would follow a takeover by al Qaeda or Iran but this is not even a remote possibility according to his own experts. Surprise...not.

The real likely outcome of a pullout? ... temporary violence but nothing apocalyptic, then the 3 groups would drift back to their traditional home areas and the country would separate into 3 parts.

The Pentagon says there's not even a remote chance of Bush's theory happening. So why is he lying? Why is he claiming the opposite of expert opinion? Same reason why he lied his way into this war, personal gain.

Treason is the term that should now be charged against him.

Losing the War

How do you deal with al Qaeda when Bush is their strongest ally?

Robert Parry observes, "The underlying reality is that Bush remains the perfect foil for al-Qaeda and other Islamic extremists. The surging anti-Americanism, which derives from a widespread hatred of Bush, represents a recruitment boon for al-Qaeda, so much so that Osama bin Laden and other terrorist leaders understand that Bush and his stubbornness are indispensable assets to their cause."

Bush Determined to Let Bin Laden Strike In U.S. Again

While Bush has wasted endless lives and money destroying Iraq for no apparent reason other than personal revenge and oil, Al Qaeda, which has been safely protected on the Afghanistan Pakistan border has now rebuilt it's organization and strength, and a newer Al Qaeda group in Iraq has become strong enough to export terrorists overseas.

Quite a feat since the Iraq group was only formed a few years ago as a reaction to the immoral invasion and occupation of Iraq and has been rather busy fighting the world's only super power.

Only Bush could attain such a biblical level of disaster.

He Made Me Do It

Another hilarious press conference...
Apparently George didn't invade Iraq. Saddam made him do it. It was his choice and he chose to be invaded. I guess Saddam drove George crazy with all of those repeated lies about not having any WMD.
Apparently the folks that Bush is fighting in Iraq are the same crowd that attacked the U.S. on 911. That's an odd way to characterize a country that had no involvement with 911, no ties to al Qaeda, no presence of terrorists till after the invasion, no WMD and Bush has now killed an estimated 1 million of these people with no involvement except at press conferences where Bush likes to lie...
Hilarious if you're a moronic sociopath.

Makin Us Safer

The U.S. military says al Qaeda is responsible for only about 15% of attacks in Iraq.

Well thanks for telling the truth after months of a deliberate campaign to blame al Qaeda for all attacks.

The bad news is al Qaeda is thriving in Iraq. How is that possible? The Iraqis don't even like them in their country.

How is it possible to not just be losing to to al Qaeda but to actually cause an increase in their strength and popularity???

We Don't Do Body Counts

The words of General Tommy Franks. People die in war so why count them?

However, long after the defeat of Saddam, after the end of the battle, is it relevant to ask questions of a moral nature?
Considering we all agree there was no involvement with Iraq in 911 or with al Qaeda, nor were there any WMD there, or were they a serious threat to anyone, should anyone be held responsible for an immoral invasion that went all wrong?

American researchers at John Hopkins using internationally recognized counting methods, methods also used and recognised by the White House when it suits them, have put the conservative number of Iraqis killed at about 1 million.

Is that not a staggering loss? For what?

Add to this the larger number that are seriously injured , the numbers who suffer the loss of relatives, the destruction of their homes and country, orphaned children, the 5 million who fled the country to live in tents suffering tremendous hardship and violence trying to escape the violence.

This is why Bush can't leave. It would immediately invite the many morally outraged questions about whether they knew Iraq was not a threat before going in, what were the real reasons for invading and why they stayed so long when nothing could be accomplished.
Just like the end of Vietnam. When it's over, everyone starts to wonder why no one tried to stop it sooner.

Get Real

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has published a list of about 100 companies — including Canadian ones — it says do business with countries it calls "state sponsors of terrorism." They want investors to know where their money is going. Oh really?

So, should everyone stop investing in Halliburton,GE,Conoco, Carlyle Group or any company with interests to Cheney or the Bush family?

Get real. The U.S. is the biggest rogue terrorist business in the world. Worse, it's run like the mafia.

The U.N. says we're the leading consumer of pot in the industrialized world.

Unfortunately, our Regressive Conservative government wants to roll us back to the good old days where larger and larger portions of the population become criminals, for simple possession of something less serious than cigarettes and alcohol. Yes, we elected a government to take us backwards not forward . We were close to decriminalization with our previous government as I recall?

Arresting people has worked so well up to now.. ..end of argument.
Did we need another reason not to vote conservative again?
