The Blowback President

Will we ever hear the end of this White House 'stupidism', "We're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here".

Most of who the U.S. is fighting are just Iraqis. They want the U.S. out of their country overwhelmingly. Nothing more than that.

Why would they need to come over here when the U.S. leaves, since that's what they want us to do?

If it's only Al Qaeda that the White House is talking about, they will go where ever U.S. troops go. That's been proven in Iraq since they weren't there before the invasion.

But they are not the same people who were angry at American foreign policy before 911. They are a new generation, bigger numbers, much better trained and much more angry at U.S. foreign policy since 911.

And there are so many new terrorists that they can now export them out of Iraq to other countries. What a shocking indication of total policy failure. An overwhelming case for how not to fight terrorism.

This is the gift Bush is leaving the Democrats and the nation. No wonder he bought land and built a secure compound in Paraguay.

Paraguay of all places. With the rest of the old fascists.

It is hard to believe they're trying to sell that old "they'll follow us home" meme. A new modification to the old BS is that they're starting to say "your children" with it, as in "we care about your children's safety" or "Osama's coming to get your children". BARF
