Not 1 Vote for Change from the Party of No
It may only be a start, it still favors big insurance companies who have no interest in people's health but the Republicans can not undo this Bill, that would be politically impossible....so a huge loss for the GOP.Someone should tally the dollars spent by the Right and Health/Insurance lobbies to stop any changes to the for profit system, it has to be staggering!

Criminally Insane
Bush lawyers told to make up non sense memos that President Bush could do anything he wanted were only slapped on the wrist by the There Is No Justice Department...poor judgment guys but keep your licenses. How crazy were the Bush lackeys?
Torture memo writer John Yoo says the President could have ordered the extermination of entire villages...killing innocent civilians? No problems.
Isn't that one of the reasons why they said we had to invade Iraq and remove Saddam?
Because he massacred innocent civilians...entire villages?

Relaxing in Hell
A luxury cruise liner stops at a private beach in Haiti while passengers sun themselves and barbecue at a short distance from earth quake victims without food or water....yes..there we have a microcosm for the problem with humanity....there is no humanity most days.

The Best and Brightest

8% of our human genome comes from a virus and not our ancestors?
Interesting, certainly explains Sarah Palin and most of the anti science Right and it's nice to have something in common with your computer....
Speaking of unraveling mysteries, how come there are almost 100.000 employees at Microsoft and they still have such a lousy history of product development, essentially trying to mimic better products from smaller companies...so...what do all of those people do and how good are they anyway?
One could ask the same question about many large organizations, say the CIA with their massive budget and employees they continually have to hire the disreputable former Blackwater employees to get key jobs done...so why doesn't the CIA have the employees it needs? Why don't they use military special forces or something?
Why use a group whose forte is killing innocent civilians?
How did they miss the Christmas bomber when he was essentially turned in to them...with all of those skilled employees?
Where we need our best and brightest is government and it may get to the point where we have to allow the government to seize people off the street who have established themselves as the best and brightest and force them to work for the government to kick start this crappy run world of ours...assuming there are people out there who could do so much better... you know, like this guy...

Disturbing Trends
Apparently, electing an intelligent President doesn't raise the IQ of Americans, in fact it may be having an inexplicable reversing affect as those who believe that climate change is a reality and is mostly caused by human activity... are now in the minority...only 45%.Somewhat related in the frustration and denial over intelligence category, polling finds that given the choice of voting Democrat, Republican or for the Tea Party...Republicans trail third...enter dinosaur brain Sarah Palin in 2012?
Apparently, there are some glaciers still left to admire but as they melt they're taking on some ominous shapes...

JOHN COLTRANE A love supreme Part I Acknowledgement
The raw spirit of a genius growing up in the segregated south.
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Resolution
Spiritual awakening.....or the affect of playing a disjunctive B flat bass line through these changes, A-B-Bm7-E flat...I think Mclaughlin picked up this avant-garde trick from his years with Miles Davis?
Uplifting regardless, ain't it?
The Headhunters - Straight From The Gate
Straight from the 70's is more like it...muahahaha
Herbie Hancock was tres tres funky and the Headhunters were an awesome band.
Haven't heard this in decades so I'm sharing of course.

Happy Holidays Iraq
No surprise, a sharp rise in birth defects in Iraq. The warning about U.S. use of depleted uranium in their armaments has been ignored and this problem affects everyone, including U.S. troops.
The country has widespread contamination that will kill for generations.
If no one can justify this evil, then can someone take responsibility?
I didn`t think so.

Adios Amigo
Bullying annoying anchor Lou Dobbs has quit CNN and returned to one dimensional space...The CNN reporters won't miss Mr. grumpy Independent who always seemed to steer them towards his narrow view points in their reporting.
They should have traded Dobbs to Fox for Shep Smith, a more open minded fellow who's clearly uncomfortable with his role as the sane guy in that propaganda arm of the GOP.

Fortress Wasilla

If the book gets discounted this much before it's even out...how will Sarah pay for all of the land and construction started around their home.
And just what the hell are they building up there?
Must be More Loved than Stephen Harper...or Else
It is ironic that the most backward corrupt nation on earth has to now set the highest democratic standards to get continued support from the U.S.
Run off again, share power or die. I wish someone made that demand to Bush in 2000.
It is obvious that Afghanistan can`t succeed on it's own without a popular, trusted, progressive government.
And we could really use one of those too while we're at it.

Grifting While The Griftin's Good
Suddenly, the book that was due out next year, will be out Nov. 17!!!She must have hired one speedy writer or else... crayons are included?
Alaska blogger Shannyn Moore explains why the title, Going Rogue, is so insulting to Alaskans.
One theory on why the book got done so quickly is that Sarah quit half way through so she had to hire someone to finish it....muahahaha.
