The number of Americans believing that Saddam was behind 911 has increased 5 points since 2004 to 41% today.

The majority did not believe that any Saudis were involved in the hijackings, while 20% believe the hijackers were Iraqi.

GOP Doing The Dems Job

Jesus Christ, the Dems are hopeless. They have been so afraid of being seen as 'left wing' that they've lost the ball on Iraq. There's an opening for a turnover for the GOP from this weak assed Dem. fumble. The latest poll shows that the public is very 'left wing' on Iraq. More left than the Dems?

Today, a major signal was sent in the GOP with a speech by heavy weight Bush war supporter Senator Richard Lugar. The message is the surge isn't working or what the country needs as a mid east strategy and there's no point in waiting till September for the obvious, it may be time to stop this foreign policy failure sooner rather than later. This is a major blow and shift, possibly giving cover to other republicans to separate from Bush's failed policy.

Is it possible that the GOP could take over the anti Iraq war momentum and make gains in 2008. With the fickle lack of interest by the American public, by 2008, voters could be blaming the Dems for the war and the GOP could be seen as separate from the Bush neocons and the new republicans could be seen as responsible for ending the war!

Reid and Pelosi are becoming irrelevant on the issue.

Attention Youth Of America

The Supreme Court has decided for your safety that you don't have the free speech right to hold up a banner saying 'bong hits for Jesus' , as it promotes drug use. Even though Q got your humor, these are not humorous times.

It is apparently still legal to lie a nation into an unnecessary war killing tens of thousands, destroy the constitution, spy on Americans and grab and torture anyone without trial or charges.

As an after thought it occurred to me that the U.S. sells arms to drug dealers, supports drug dealing rulers etc. but students can not goof around being kids and practise free speech that doesn't hurt anyone.

The First Casualty of War

In a new propaganda twist, the military are now referring to all combatants and enemy casualties in Iraq as Al Qaida. And the press is delivering the message.
Last year they were saying there were very few actual Al Qaida in Iraq, that the insurgents were mostly Iraqis. The truth is bad for war.
So they're all terrorists again , don't feel sorry for any of them and there's so little time left to secure control of that oil.

Sy Hersh has revisited the horror of Abu Ghraib with more outrageous lies and denial from the top on down, as usual not being pursued by the media.

The whole torture and abuse scandal is so anti productive and evil that there are few comparisons other than the Nazis, hence the general sense of denial in the public and politicians.Well think about it America, you are capable of the lowest standards of behaviour as anyone has ever acted on in the past short of genocide.

Perhaps a few days of demonstration with Bush would have opened his eyes. While he was lying on the cold, wet floor naked for days having objects rammed up his rectum and dogs attacking him he might come around especially after being advised that most detainees being tortured have nothing to do with anything.

Evil is not better when we do it. It's time for war crime trials.
